Dr. Sunil K Sharma Dhakal is the Medical Director of Nepal Mediciti and he is heading the Digestive Disease Center. After completion of his FRCSEd, he has been working in the capacity of Consultant GI & Laparoscopic Surgeon since 1998. He further went for fellowship trainings in South Korea & Singapore for 6 months' duration each, in Advanced Cancer Surgery. He has taken leadership in the progression of advanced Laparoscopic Surgery in Nepal and has been actively involved in both management, teaching, leaning as well as surgical practice at two prominent medical colleges prior to joining Nepal Medicit. He was the initial founder member of Primary Trauma Care Nepal, which runs regular trauma courses throughout the country. He is also the official trainer of Johnson & Johnsons Basic Surgical Course. He has co-edited a book in surgery & has more than 15 scientific articles under his name. He has trained more than 20 surgeons in the art of Laparoscopy. Before his joining of Nepal Mediciti, he was highly successful in completing his tenure as Principal of Nepal Medical College Teaching Hospital. His field of interest is Cancer Surgery & GI Laparoscopic Surgery.
