Adrenal cortex secretes glucocorticoid, mineralocorticoid and sex corticoid. Insufficiency of the adrenal cortex secretion mainly affecting glucocorticoid and mineralocorticoid is addison’s disease. It can occur as chronic disease or as acute crisis.
